Universal Fighting Engine Forum → 2D Gameplay → short hopping and double jumping
Short hop: You will need a a few moves for this. A jump startup move that chains into a short hop move, A short hop move with it's input set to on release.
Double jump: You can use basic moves for this, but the double jump keeps it's current X force, meaning if you do a forward jump and try to double jump back it won't change X forces.
You could try a move file for the double jump instead.
I mistyped regarding the basic move double jump, I meant to say if you do a forward jump you can't do a double jump back as the jump will keep it's current X force.
I'll see if we can get that behavior changed code wise sometime.
what is the startup of the shorthop supposed to be?
Startup is your call really, 4 is a nice solid quick amount.
Short hop is in physics under "jump:" as "pressure sensitive.
My jump looks way to high to be a short hop does it have to do the animation?
Check into self applied forces in your move file.
