Topic: "Hold Back" block not working when on opposite side

Hi,

I have a weird problem. In my case, "hold back" block does not work when I switch places with the AI player (so I'm at the opposite/right side).

Check out the GIFs below (I'm the Blue guy, and Red guy is AI)

I can perfectly block while "holding back" if I'm on the left side:

As you can see, I can't block even I'm "holding back" if I'm on the right side:

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Under your game view, click on "Gizmos". That will show you where the hitboxes are located.
Can you make the same recordings but this time showing the gizmos?

I see your using a projectile in the gifs. Prehaps the blockable area of the projectile is not covering the right side? Try setting the blockable are to a sphere. Do you have any non projectile attacks to test with?

Hello, i'm having the same issue, holding back not working for blocks only on the right side, its a normal attack not involving a projectile.

I'll need to look into this, I'm pretty sure this issue has been around for a while.

I have found a workaround, if you make the blockable area huge it works.

I got a second question, any idea on why the block vfx is not playing when the attack is blocked? Is this a layering issue? i havent changed the layering on the sprites at all. all base.

Check into the hit effect options.
Look into particle effect under block hit options
