Topic: Damage Reaction Animation

I want set Damage reactions.

・On the damage receiving side,
Character File → Move Set → Basic Moves → Hit Reactions to select the animation for damage.
・On the attacker's side,
Move File → Active Frames → Hit is used to specify the damage value, movement control, and hit type.

Is this perception correct?

I also set the damage time in Hit Stun Options → Hit Stun on Hit, and tried to test play it.
Only the first image in the animation file was displayed for the specified damage time.
How can I make the entire damage motion animation show up for the set damage time?

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

Try the auto speed option in your character file

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

I checked with Auto Speed and the symptoms did not improve.
Are there any other items that are suspect?

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

Are you trying make an entire hit reaction animation play?
You could try increasing the hit stun value.

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

Yes, I want to play the entire animation.
Increasing the overall Hit Stun time didn't work because the display time of the first image would only increase by that amount.

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

I don't know, so I tried as many other animation image specifications and damage types as I could find at random.
When I set the type to Crumple in the attacker's settings (It's sample game image), the image seemed to be displayed correctly.
Would this situation be helpful in resolving it?

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

For the life of me, I can't pinpoint the cause of the problem.
During test play, what is the reaction of the damaged side, what does the animation file refer to now? Is it possible to display the
The attacker is shown what the Move file is now, but I would like to do that.

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

This seems like a standing hit react yes?
I use auto speed and create my hit react animations using a sample rate of 60.

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

This is an animation I was making to float the transition from ground to aerial sequence.
I have already done this with a 60 frame setting.
https://uploda1.ysklog.net/uploda/b874d0c22f.png
And yet I am getting the symptoms.
(I may be misunderstanding my classification, but should I not use any settings other than Weak?)
Would it be faster to upload the game file and have it checked from here?

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

Your frames are spaced out.

Notice how mine are all next to each other.
1-2-3-4-5

You frames are more like
1-3-7-10-13

Try putting them next to each other.

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

Sorry,
Animation frames were arranged in a continuous sequence without gaps, but the symptoms remained the same.

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

After trying many things, I suspect that the attacker's Move file -> Active Flames and Animation files are not the problem.
I suspect the trouble is in the character file -> MoveSets -> BasicMoves settings.
Do you see anything suspicious?

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

Hmm, tough for me to say. To many factors for me to know what's wrong.
You might need to start from a fresh character file and slowly get used to how the how the damage animations behave.
You can send me the animations through private message.
I'd be of more help if I can rig up the animations for you.

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

That's for sure.
The preconfigured part of the sample file I'm using as a template may be doing something wrong, so it may be faster to identify it if I start from the beginning, so I'll give it a try.
Thanks.

Re: Damage Reaction Animation

I solved the problem by creating a new one from new scratch.
I checked and the problem was in the ChracterEditor-MoveSets-AnimationOptions section.
After unchecking all the checkboxes here, it finally worked correctly.
Thank you.
Now, I can finally start creating reactions, so I'm sure I'll be asking more questions.
