Topic: Physics based movement

Hi ho! I recently got UFE 2 and would like to know how to make my own player controller and if physics-based movement is possible. I wanna build something resembling smash bros. so, platformer-esque movement would be great.

Re: Physics based movement

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but UFE uses a pretty good physics-ish system of its own, applying forces on x and y axes.  This is totally independent of rigidbodies. However platforms of any type might be a pretty serious undertaking as a lot of UFE's calcs involve the floor being at zero.  Not sure how extensive of changes would be required

Re: Physics based movement

Chris is right.

but it should be possible to completely forego UFEs Physics and replace it with your own physics but it will require source as well a decent amount of time to accomplish based on skill level
